Oana Romocea has built her career in academic communication, working for nine years in the Communication Department of the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, and most recently at The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for artificial intelligence and data science. Moreover, Oana uses her experience gained in the academic sector and university administration in Great Britain by getting involved in different cultural, educational and social initiatives in Romania. She is co-founder of the Romanian Science Festival, the first national science festival and a board member of the Oxford for Romania Association.
